Double chocolate cake

Long time no post! I have been having hard times struggling with cake design. I am starting to handle fondant, though. Here is my last trial: white chocolate frosting chocolate cake. Still have a lot to do so that the cakes will look perfect but hey… Taste was good!

Hmmmm!!!!! Kouign-amann!!!

Today, a little post without any recipe. Why? Because I want to share with you about the kouign-amann (pronounce it like “Queen Yaman”), which is an awesome sweet, which also is so hard to make a perfect one at home, you’d better buy it. So, no recipe.
Why this post, today? Because the aunt of my beloved one is so kind, she brought back one big cake from Brittany. And not any cake: one from a pastry shop that got prizes for baking the best kouign-amman in France, so I HAD TO share it with you.

Fruitea!

If you are suffering from the same heat wave as we Parisians are: this could interest you. Fruitea is a mix of fruit juice, sorbet and tea and I think it’s an original refresher.

All you need is a mixer and:

  • 25 cl of cold tea or herbal infusion
  • 2 cups of fresh or frozen chopped fruits (I used pineapples and apples)
  • 1 scoop of sorbet (I used raspberry sorbet)
  • 4 ice cubes
